PartyLite lets you turn your love of candles into a new career.

PartyLite consultants are able to earn extra money selling candles and related products to people in their communities.

About PartyLite

PartyLite began in 1905 when New England schoolteacher and entrepreneur Mabel Baker began to make candles from the bayberries on Cape Cod. In 1973, her company Colonial Candle of Cape Cod began PartyLite as a way to distribute their excess inventory.

PartyLite sells scented votives, tea lights, pillars, and jar candles in fragrances to suit every taste as well as fragranced room sprays, sachets, and reed diffusers. The company also has a line of spa products designed to provide aromatherapy benefits and turn your home bathroom into a pampering oasis.

PartyLite is active around the world, with consultants in the United States, Canada, Australia, Austria, Demark, France, Finland, Ireland, Germany, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In total, more than 50,000 people are registered as PartyLite independent consultants.

Opportunities for PartyLite Consultants

If you're looking for a way to turn your passion for richly scented candles into a new business opportunity, becoming a PartyLite consultant may be the right choice for you. PartyLite consultants are self-employed independent contractors who sell the company's products through in home demonstrations with a relaxed and festive atmosphere. Consultants can work as much or as little as they choose, hosting parties at the time that best fits their busy schedules.

Unlike other companies that require you to purchase a startup kit or purchase a certain amount of inventory to begin your business, PartyLite will provide everything you need to get started if you host a starter show under the supervision of a current PartyLite consultant and your event has sales of at least $350. After that, there is a two-week training period in which you'll work at six shows hosted by your friends and family while learning what it takes to run a successful event.

Once you're established in your PartyLite business, the company offers free monthly training sessions in which you can discuss sales techniques and share tips with consultants from around the globe.

PartyLite consultants are paid weekly from the shows they host. Consultants receive 25% from party sales, plus a 7% bonus if sales for the month exceed $2,000. Additional earning opportunities are available for those who wish to recruit and train other PartyLite consultants.

Hosting a Party

For those who aren't interested in becoming a PartyLite consultant, or simply want to learn more about how the company works, hosting a party can be a fun experience. When you allow a PartyLite consultant to host a demonstration of the company's products for your family and friends, you can earn credit towards free or reduced-priced merchandise based on total sales from your event. This can be a wonderful way to build up your stash of scented candles and related home décor products.

To host a party, simply contact your nearest PartyLite consultant. If you don't know a consultant in your community, fill out the information request form on the PartyLite Web site to be contacted by a company representative.
